As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!

I'm sure if you have a good relationship with your dealer, you could swing an invite. Atlanta GA is where it's going to be. I'm sure this is because new GM came from Triumph USA and has knows that area and how it can support this event.

Actually Mr Brady was afraid it might be perceived that way, but they were under the gun with just over 2 months to prep for such an event and through the grapevine he heard of a private secluded facility just outside of the ATL area that fullfilled his criteria (close to major airport/hotel and was available for exclusive functions within their schedule) Public riding areas require months of lead time for permits and insurance for such an event and then you have uncontrolled distractions which is not always good for a product launch. Most private facilities do not want to host an exclusive event closed to the public on a weekend and alienate any current clientel or such without a big price tag associated, so the pickens become slim, but I think most folks will be more then satisfied with the riding facility Husq NA ended up with for the dealer meet.Norman Foley;2637 said:Mike,

The particulars have not been announced, only a date and general location as Husqvarna NA is still working out the details pronto.

Yes, we get to see and ride the new stuff, but it is not all fun and games. There are meetings and conferences about how to make money and how much we can expect to make. There is confidential information being passed around that is not intended for the consumer.
As much as we would all like to think that dealers can exist for your pleasure and manufacturers don't need to make any money, thats is not the truth.
As an enthusiast who ended up owning a dealership, I have had to learn that if I want to stay in business, I need to make money. 1000 franchised motorcycle dealerships closed their doors in 2007. I don't want to do the same in 2008. These meetings are for dealers to get the information we need to sell you a bike and take care of it in the future, not for customers to have a free ride.
I will post anything I can during the meeting. Maybe the dealers on the forum should start a thread where we can post photos and any info that we are allowed to share.

Make this more than a dealers meeting. Make it a coming out event. A re-launch. A reckoning.
I can think of all kinds of folks other than 'Husky Dealers' who need to find out more about where the brand is going:
Racers.
No not the guy at the local hare scrambles. The guy at the Baja 1000, the Dakar Rally, the guy chasing a national series, flat tracking, or road racing a SMR450. The guy at Hangtown on a Husky. The guys who spend $20, 40, 60K a year racing the brand. These arent 'enthusiasts' bikes. 'Enthusiasts' ride DRz400s and CRF450s. Husky makes exclusive race bikes.
The dealer meeting should just be part of a week long Husky-A-Thon.![]()
