• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I got a bridgestone twin two stroke that came with the house. It has since fallen over, outside near the road but kind of hidden.

(kalispera sas). Good evening, thanks for your help I would like to ask you what oils put it in TRANSMISSION what oil put them in proportion to the% gasoline and spark plug wears what the book says 240 T2 and W260 T2 BOSCH.and slowly begins restoration ultimately model 1982 rightly shows ultimately model 1982 rightly shows with photos sir visiteur 1946

1981 or 1982... frame and color are wrong for 83. Frame numbers near steering head will help determine the year.

unless someone bolted it together from parts thats an 82 250 CR and most of the parts seem to be 82 250 CR  NICE FIND:applause: :applause:

use ATF -F in the gearbox or straight 20wt Briggs and Stratton oil.

in the engine use 35:1 - 40:1 good quality oil. everyone has a favourite here. that's about 500 -600 ml in a 20 litre drum.

check the air filter first before kicking it over as they turn to powder and can get sucked into the engine.

check the throttle returns and you can hear a solid clunk in the carby when you close the throttle.

I would pull the bowl of the bottom of the carby and check for goo andjunk.

check the rubber parts around the carby to make sure they are not split or perished.

check the fuel tank isn't full of rust and water etc from corrosion.

put a bit more oil in the first lot of fuel to lube things up if the motor has been sitting.

check the exhaust for mice and wasps nests.

yep that thing might light right off maybe but i would tear it down for for a good look see and crank seals for sure looks like you have a good solid core to start with:cheers:

OIL =
1.6 liters 20 W motor (15/20 W )
or oïl ATF dexron
spark plug =
NGK B8ES
mix gas =
2 or 2.5 % good oïl (bel-ray ,.....)

:)
kalimestra !
