• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Based on the BMW650 engine, the bike is apparently almost ready for production.

I'm not sure how to react.. based on the 30 minutes no one has commented... others may share that sentiment.

Interesting... I mailed it out to the UK dealers earlier today and the response was very positive. This was a UK journalist comment on twitter too: 'This is so cool Milan Show: Husqvarna unveils all new MOAB concept Scrambler'

I just watched the vid and love it even more!!! This things is WAY cooler than the NUDA IMO.

Something tells me this is a Scrambler version of the TE650.

I'm thinking this is the TE650 ??

All I know is we damn well better see this in the USA...and soon!

The Moab is an addition to the model range, not a replacement for anything...

So this is not the new 650 dualsporty bike that is taking the place of the 630 line?

If not, do you have any intel on what is going to be filling the void left by the loss of the 630?

This is going to be coming to the US, right?

Right??

More news before the end of the year is as much as I can say.

As for Moab being sold in US, I don't know - Husqvarna NA make that decision. You'd need to ask them...

It's a concept bike... not an announcement of a new model.

It's also fugly, IMO. Looks like a Fisher Price Toy. I wouldn't be caught dead riding one. However, it sounded great in the video.

So...it's only a concept bike...but it sounds great in a video of it being ridden around...aren't concept bikes usually just a concept? Like, not able to be ridden?

I like it a lot! It ain't no 610, that's for sure, but it looks like it would make my daily commute into SF much more fun that it is now on the SV650 :D

I'm thinking with a name like Moab it would be aimed at a US crowd...or is that wishful thinking?

I'm with you on this. Barf. Like the concept not the execution.

Definitely a cool bike, just not sure where the ideally it would be used? I'm eminently unqualified to give any real input. I have not been on the bike scene for that much time..
