• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Beta and Gas Gas are on my 2015 watch list. Was hoping for something interesting from Husky, but I just can't get interested in a white KTM. Gas Gas really lost some weight in 2014 and the 2015s are supposed to have vastly improved estart.

We were told "2014 bikes will be KTM based , but expect to see a difference in 2015 " !

I said at the time we are stuck with "White KTMs" and so it seems .
I have already seen one post saying "2016 we will see a difference" BS !!!

Husky is dead as far as I am concerned, I didn't want a KTM years ago and I don't want one now !

I have bought a Sherco 300 4st, and love it ! Similar power to my Husky 310s but without all the little problems.
Easier to ride , handles better , overall could not be happier !
RIP Husqvarna , you served me well, but time to move on !

You dont always need to buy a 10,000$ dirt bike guys. Used is good as new to me. I bought a new 511 because it was the last of a breed. That said, if I had not I would definitely pickup a used 449/511 because I like to tinker. But a real bike? Shooot a 06-07 husky 450-510. One of the best street legal bikes ever made. RIPS, lightweight, fun fun fun fun, reliable (to a point) and did I mention they rip? Yep. Miss my old 450 but my 511 is much better after a few k of tinkering :)

Cristini? LOL

Before we all go too far with our comments, including me, I would like to point out that the new 2015 model news appears to be coming from Australia right? if I'm wrong I apologize. My point being, the Australian models already had street legal bikes this year so it's possible the North American market may see a plated model (Enduro) this fall. TBD I guess.

I got my news in a press release from Husqvarna....and I am in the US.....so Im not expecting any different news until I hear different news ;)

Instant Update:
And apparently Cycle News got a different press release than I did

I was only living in America the first ~50 yrs of my life ... Never, ever saw a single one of these off-breed bikes models whose names are tossed around here daily... So, if you think I would ever consider buying and riding a machine I have never ever saw, as often as I ride here, in this land I live in now ... Well, best you go back to Hollywood and try again...

Does that mean I'm gonna buy these new ktms? Nope, does not mean that either. I did see the black birdy sppy plane once sitting on the ground and it was small!

DISCLAIMER: I am not saying these other bikes are not good machines on some level ...Didn't Knight just win a national level race on one of these smaller brands? That's all the proof I need to verify a bike ... Then you have to add the few other tangibles needed to have the overall sales model complete.

rabskyline .... you fell for it! The longer I live here, the more I feel homesick. For what we are, there´s none better!
