  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Also I have this question: Do the plastics from later models, like for example 2002, fit my 1996 or do I have to switch gas tank ?

I know 95-99 plastics are the same, i think the 2000 year plastics and tank were different. Anyone have a decent 360 for sale cheap? lol it is my all time favorite Husky that runs right up there with a nice 610.

There was a 360 in the classifieds section just 2 weeks ago, cant find it anymore. Maybe he changed his mind or got it sold. I'd like to switch my ´96 panels to the ´99 . Much nicer design and slimmer. Fitted with the 99 seat its gonna look really nice  Upgrading the gas tank to be able to get 2000+ models is a bit too expensive I'm afraid.

The huge thread was on Dirtrider net in the KTM/Euro Bikes section, its a shame it disapeared as there was lots of great info there,I have looked at over that site with no luck

Oh that´s right, it was Dirtrider. Hopefully someone saved it locally.

Anyone know what years they updated the frame? You can still get a brand new one at ebay.de. Almost for free ;) , 699euro!

Here is a picture of my 2000.

Those panels are 1995. 1996 were white.

I had my 360 listed with no price and no real intention of doing anything other than satisfying she who must be obey'd.:p I had a couple of inqueries but I really did not want to sell it.

@gem: I like! Since you went from '01, I suppose it was less parts that needed changing compared to if I would to rebuild my ´96. Guessing, tank(if the new one even fits), seat, fenders, panels, alu subframe?

@hva_fr_st: thanks alot! Will use the info!

@NumberCruncher: Now that's one clean bike! :D About the panels; damn, you're right!

Hello,

be careful, maybe the european year model isn't the same in north america.

For sure! Some things doesn't seem quite right. In the middle 90's I rode a 360 ´93 and that bike did not have the "square" swing arm nor the Dellorto 37mm. In fact, none of the 93´s I have seen have had that swing arm. Anyways, great site, thanks :)

So, can anyone confirm when the mikuni replaced the dellorto?

edit:
Or have the US model always had the Mikuni?

Skyldig,

I am almost sure that Gem just did a motor transplant with his 360 into his 07 WR250 frame. I did this with my 06 WR 250 for a while and it is a direct swap.

I had a 1995 360 and a 1996 610 so I remember the colors well.

That is when she was brand new. Here is one of her on the beach.

Hoooo baby,...just look at that little hottie playin' in the sand with her little paddle tire on!

Why do I have "I wish they all could be California girls" playing in my head now?

Make sure she gets a nice shower to get all that salt off her after a day at the beach like that! :D
