• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husky's in New Jersey

Jersey Woods

I live to ride !
I just got home from working a few checks for the Ocean County Competition Riders Scrub Pine Enduro........ There was a real lot of Husky bikes in the field today.... More then I can ever remember seeing at any time recently.... It used to be a sea of orange.... But I'm telling you the Red Tide has really changed..... It was great to see that many of them.... And to make it better for me I saw a bunch of WR 150 bikes and they were fast.... The people who were riding them came in all different shapes and sizes and they were as fast as the bigger bikes.. They came into the checks right on the money and checked out as fast as the other bikes..... Just a note to KTM...... People are not gonna wait for a great bike on a waiting list.....Husky is gonna deliver one at a lot lesser of a price and not extended waiting list... In short Husky is really on the move here in Jersey.... It feels great...

On a side note.... I met Just playing from our board today... He was on his WR 150 and did real well in the first check I saw him come into.... Dam that was great to meet one one of our own in an event.... Cool bike you got the JP....

probably because its getting impossible to plate a KTM down there...but its great to see change..husky makes a great bike and once they update the wr250..expect to see alot more in the woods!

That is one of the reasons I'm sure..... But either way they are out there and very competitive....

Was cool to meet you too Jersey....The ride did not go so "well" for me and I ended up calling it a day and heading out. Good thing you were on an "early" check or you may not have seen me come through. No major injuries, no problems with the bike, awesome weather, good trail.....can't ask for anything more.
Yes, since I purchased my 07 TE450 I have noticed more and more Huskies out there. It's funny, until you buy something you never remember seeing another one.......then they are "everywhere"

I bet your still thinking about that "tank"

Yep that tank is frigging cool..... Gotta hook up with you and get a look at it again so I can fab one up for myself... I worked the 12th check and there were a lot of numbers who never passed through.... We were the secrete check into a section and it was supposed to be 6 minute check out... It was more like 15 minutes for the riders...It was brutal...... I know the section because I rode it before and it was on the other side of the highway... That nasty off camber stuff around these whacky hills and real narrow ... I dropped my KTM down there in the early spring and it was no fun falling into a canyon.... Thank God my riding friends helped me out getting the beast out of the canyon...
