  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc Husky WR250 action vids

Gee Ant, you don't seem to ride the berg very often. On a side not, took a TE 449 for a blat & I reckon its better than the berg 450.

Here is a couple of me on the 300 on Saturday mucking around waiting for the kid on a DT 175 trying to get up the hill

Hows the pipe Anth?

the pipe is all fixed after a few sessions with my mechanics blow torch, we had to cross logs all weekend my mate counted 131 logs and it still looks the same and performs well

the only problem is my gear lever is flogged out (again) i replaced the oem one with an alloy version. the nut is tight but it moves left to right 10mm. very annoying :(

here's a vid of a tricky hill

i rode the berg 2 weeks ago, its going great, i'm getting a prototype bash plate made up
by force accessories, i didn't think a husky forum would be very interested in it. the new
TE449 is looks nice but i haven't seen one on the trails to test ride

Out all 4t's l've sampled, l would ride an FE390 if l ever went to the dark side (haven't sampled the KTM350 yet).

Wrap teflon tape around the gear shaft and then attach the gear lever. If that fails, take a thin needle file and file off a bit off the gap where the bolt slots through the lever.

Always enjoy you vids Anthony, wish we had singletrack and bush like that in south oz!
I just got a Go Pro 1080, and noticed that the FPS rate is higher in 960p than 1080p, what setting do you have your cam on?

Cheers, I'll have to have a play with the settings and compare the differences.
I agree with motorhead, I have to watch some of those vids a couple of times before I notice any bikes!
