• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Just talked to some people that were there .Nic Burson after finishing

What a way to start the 2009 Dist 37 Desert racing year

Now we only have 14 days to the first National lets see how many Huskys we can get to show up

my plan is join the champ....ajaxauto,for a go,,, hope more can be there.
I finally installed the IMS tank/GPR combo,,,needs some bounce around testing. half tank of fuel in her and no drips. 40B for me. R

Glad Ty picked up the young and hungry guns!!! Can't wait to see the other young fast guys,,,especially Rookstool,,I think he is a real up and comer. R

Hey guys thanks for the support. Today was a really exciting race win for myself, Zip Ty Racing, and Husqvarna. Parker did not go to well for my team but Ty Davis and Gary Sutherlin finished 3rd Open Pro. My dad and I drove back to Ridgecrest saturday night and got my bike ready for sunday. I put an IMS tank and a skid plate on and went racing sunday. I was third off the Bomb and made two quick passes and was on my way. I wasn't sure what to expect but I felt great. The bike I rode was a 2009 TXC 510. I look forward to this new season and hope to see all the Husky's out at the first National.
Nick Burson

Thanks for all the congrats. I am not changing anything just getting more dialed in. I should have a stabalizer this week which will help a lot and also just riding and getting more comfortable on the bike. Zip Ty racing will have 5 riders this weekend on Husky's out at the first Worcs race in Arizona this weekend and then we should have 6 riders out at the National Hare and Hound the following weekend.

and us regualr guy racers/riders will field at least 2 machines at the H&H, Ajax CR125, R TXC450 so far.and I think the son of Ajax as well!

If there are any spectators for these races from Cafe Husky pics would be great!

Best of luck to everyone

I think not,,,that SRA GP 1st place was a test (#1 sand bagger award)
I am racing with the big dogs now,,,,,,,,,,,super B class, ha ,, more my level,,,never an A student, lucky to hit the B range!!! My goal is to at least make a good showing and try my darndest to keep that (older guy class) Husky 125 somewhere in my sights or at least in the same zip code as to not completely ruin my ego!!! Go Ajax!!! I will follow!!! This national is coming at us fast 25JAN09!!!
The best thing in my bag of tricks is my technical riding ability, I hope they throw some really ugly stuff at us, because I know the dez guys will smoke me, I am not willing to go flat out into the dust and sand whoops, not my thing at all. The twistier and uglier the better for me and my TXC. The Wickenburg dez was just fine lots of single track and rocky crap. R
