• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

After a kick-arse rompin' trail-ride Friday....me and a couple other's were chattin' it up back at the truck's. Natch, the conversation turns to bikes and 'the question' get's asked:

"So, yer a Husky man eh, how ya like it?"

Hmmm...well sir? I like it just fine!

Then they get to sniffin' the ol' TC 250, notice how bone-stock it is, how old it is, blah blah blah it's easy to service blah blah blah, etc.

Then they ask how much. Then they find out. Then they do this...

Then we start talking about the '09 line up, the NEW left-over WR 125 I just got for a little over 4k$- very little over 4k$ that's still at home waiting to get dirty, how one of these lads in on the fence about an '09 WR 300 at the same dealer I was just at the day before.

Then I told him he'd be crazy to turn it down.

Then he realised for the price of the 'other' brand he was looking at he can get the Husky, dial it in any way he want's it, bling it, get new gear, few extra tires and still have a bunch of money left over for burritos and beers and gas money for at least 6 mos.

Then he looked like this:

:busted:

Wouldn't be surpised at all to see him next weekend on a shiny new WR 300.

I'm still amazed at what they practically give these bikes away for. Spent the day Saturday in the garage, getting the 125 ready, looking at the parts on this thing, still scratching my head saying "all this for 4g's?...niiiiice".

Nope- they aint like them other bikes. They aint all everywhere ya look. They do give oustanding service for the $ though and, do exactly the same thing them other one's do that cost almost twice as much.

That's what I call Value.

Very true. People always talk about how expensive the Euro bikes are but Husky can be had for about the same or less than it's oriental counterparts and that's just by MSRP. All the premium parts that they come with, rock slid reliable and still unusual enough to be different. What more could a person ask for?

I know what you mean I picked up a new 08 CR125 Husky a few months back for $2,999.00 OTD; now that was a steal on an awsome bike. Congrats on your 09 WR. I have converted my son onto the Huskys and a couple of friends did like yours and will be on Huskys when and if they sell their jap bikes. Value with style!

In 04 I was the odd guy out on my TE450, no one had them in the area and people always asked questions about them. Now on many rides there are as many or more huskys than anything else. I have converted piles of riders. :D

WOW, THEY ARE CHEAP THERE ARENT THEY ?? 450 is about 10 grand ozzy and 2 bangers a grand less.. but you guys, half bloody price !! what ?????????????????? i wish i could buy one in a box and get it posted over ****************************************!

My bro had his '04 KTM EXC 450 along with his wife's new Can-Am quad stolen from his garage in early December. I'm selling him on a Husky but oh no, the pumpkin seeds in his brain tells him he needs a new 6 Days KTM with those lovely bold new graphics and plastic  skid plate. He managed to track one down from a friend of mine that sells KTM's outta province so he can save 7% tax but still pays $3000 more than what he coulda had a Husky for. Just more proof that I got all the brains in the family.
