• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I was wondering if the 2.3 gal. WR tank #8000H2201 you show on your site will also work on a 2010 TC250?

I want a bigger tank, but I'm not crazy about the IMS unit. Been there, done that.

2010 TE310, also looking for a little more fuel and not real crazy about the giant tank, like to keep my work surface clean so to speak......anyone?

What's the verdict?

Motorhead.... I was in Bills on Saturday and he had a 2011 partially disassembled ready to try the swap and then I made him put it together so I could try it out. He mentioned then that he wanted to get you an answer, so he will probably do it soon.

No problem. I'm not in a real bigger hurry, but I do need to get something a little bigger on there. The #8000H2201 tank will most likely do the job. A 2.2 to 2.5 should be just about right.

The IMS was OK, a little bigger than I need, but I didn't like that it was so hard to get the seat on.

Bill and I entertained ourselves early this morning with the tank swap question .........................

The tank will fit from the TE310 to the 2 stroke ....... WR tank show below (Bill was off to the Chevron station with the TE310 tank)
.................. HOWEVER

After a visit to the gas station it was established that the tanks are the same size

so the TE tank actually holds about 1/10th gallon less than the WR tank due to space used by the FI.

Meanwhile something managed to stow away in my truck while we were fooling with gas tanks .....
Here it is heading for the door .....

Sneaking up alongside my truck ( I always wanted to have a truck that cost 20% of my motorcycle )

It jumps in ......

And it was still there when I got home so I took it into the garage for safekeeping.

Yes that is snow on the ground in Eugene Oregon **************************************** Low of 18 F last night so it may be a day or two before I ride it farther than the end of the block and back. I did start it up just to listen to it purr though ..... very nice.

Nice loking bike that followed you home!
So are you saying the 2011 4t tank is no bigger than the 2010 wr125 tank?
GP

Yes its the same size just that the fuel pump tanks up a small area making hold a bit less.

our best February in 15 years of business.

thats Awesome Bill. Amazing you can do this in an industry that is seemingly rock bottom and dealers closing shop all the time. It is a testimant to your excellent shop and honest dealings. Nice job.
