Pro Class
Read in this months "Bike Trader" mag that bike sales are off about 12% this year in Oz. Similar reuslts for both road and offroad. However 2 brands bucked the trend. Kymco (mostly scooters) increased market sales by 82% and cop this Husqvarna up 100.4% year on year. How good is that. Australia accounts for about 12% of KTM's global market sales, so there is room for growth as they fell 3.2%. Only dissapointing note is that no Husky featured in any top 10 sales category for dirt bikes ie 450 and 250 classes enduro and mx etc. Oh well at least it confirms my view that I am seeing more Huskies on the trail. Bring on the next year numbers, Huskies are priced super well here c/w the opposition and with the new 250, about to be relased 450, just released 630 and the ongoing popularity of the 310 we are a shoe in for a podium somewhere in the ratings. The only area not seemingly doing so well is the 2 stroke. Report here don't compare the 300 that well against the Gas Gas and KTM. The lack of an electric leg is a big factor. Unfortunately I cannot add any flavour around the 125's and 250's (both great imho) but really due for major upgrades.
Its good to see us going in the right direction.
