Paul from Northville here. I try to join in on the GLDS rides (
www.gldsmc.org) On the weekends I can't get up North, head west on the dirt roads to the likes of Hell, Dexter, and so on to clear the head. See you are member of the CCC, understand there is perhaps a rift between the organizations Don't care to engage is any discussion on that as in the words of John Travolta in Wild Hogs " I just wanna ride"
I have a ride planned for first week of June in the UP, but other than that will hook up with the GLDS group. If you are not familiar with them generally have about a 120-140 mile ride on Saturdays, and about 80 miles on Sundays. Dues will set you back a staggering $10 per year, but it is worth many times that amount. At the rides they provide roll charts and GPS tracks for the routes and stage generally from camp grounds. Saturday nights they offer Pot Luck Dinners that, on your first ride you consume your annual dues worth of food.
Check out thier schedule and perhaps arrange a Husky weekend at one of the rides and I would hope to join.
