• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husky owners in North/South Carolina???

I'm in York, SC, not far at all from Charlotte. I have a 1976 250 WR. Trying to finish a 14 year restoration by this summer :banghead: . What's the condition of your 360?

Mark

Hey fotosaurus I'm actually in Statesville. I lived in Waxhaw for about 3 years. Spent most of my life in Florida but originally from Pittsburgh.
My 360 runs but I have not done a thing to it.

John

Between Charlotte and Monroe, Sporting a 82 XC 250 and figuring to do Brushy this weekend. Get them Husky’s running and come along :)

I'm working on a 82 wr430 project in Williamston, SC.
That is between Greenville and Anderson.
Feel like I'm almost ready to go if I can sort out this shifting issue!

Hey Cakalackians, I'm not a vintage owner yet but I am in the Carolinas. I live in WNC near the Tenn. border, surrounded by Nat Forest and working on ST on my own couple hundred acres. Also race NCHSA and SETRA and need to get out and ride with others more. I can host rides here and looking for riding buds to hit the races and riding areas.

sounds like you need a swede!

We have a fairly active group of riders in the upstate SC area. No vintage riders though. Older group, ranging from early 40's to late 50's. Someone in the group is usually riding/racing every weekend pretty much year round.

I was just in Cross Anchor SC south of Greenville/Spartansburg for a modern race last weekend on my '82 430WR. Ya'll need rain as bad as we do in Georgia.

One of the group when to the sprint enduro also. Said dusty was an understatement for Sat. If you hung around for Sun, we did get some rain. Some of us are planning on meeting up for a ride on Sun this weekend. Hopefully there is still some moisture in the ground.

I rode 40+ A in the Sprint Enduro at Big Buck but I didnt stay around for Sunday. Saturday was extremely dusty but I love the format of the sprint enduro.

40A? Better than me, I am usually hanging out mid pack in 40C. :) But I only started riding about fours years ago, so if I finish and don't the ground to many times I consider it a win. Most of the riding group are fast B or A guys so I am always bringing up the back of the pack.

Yeah I'll be at the ride tomorrow, and yes that is a picture of a Lito, wish I had one!
They are so rare!
