  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

So Ive been running the Pro Circuit/Glenn Kearney pipe with a PC silencer this year and its been awesome. Only problem is, the rocks and trees and everything else I run into while riding/racing is making the pipe look like a beat up old soda can. I had an opportunity to get the Husky PC pipe and silencer from my dealer for a crazy price. Can anyone tell me what this pipe is designed for and if its any different tuning from my current pipe? I would imagine its for more low end, not for top end. Is it the same dang thing?
Also, its a raw color. Is this just raw metal or is it a clear powdercoat? How does this surface hold up thru water and mud?

I just put one on yesterday , myself. Never rode the standard PC pipe, but I'd guess it to be pretty close. Plan to race a GP with it Sunday, so I hope it will rev.

I had a DEP on there and it meet a tree the other day. Smashed it pretty good and tore a big hole in it, so I can blow the dents out. I was going to get a new one, but they are blowing these out, so I had to give one a try. The DEP revs like crazy and never seems to fall off. It would have been perfect for this GP.

The finish is raw steel. It will rust like a old Chevy, so you have to keep it oiled down. Some guys clear them before the run them, but I just scotch bite and oil them regularly.

Use clear engine enamel or high heat clear. Had it once on a Raw'd pipe. Ended up having a golden hue to it.

Revs out a lot more than the stocker or fmf fatty I had. Not as hard off the bottom but definitely pulls longer. i raised needle on clip but it was getting warm out too. Will rust quickly if u at least dont throw some wd 40 or something on it after washing it.

Low end? Who rides down there?

Just kidding. Seems fine to me. Not as strong as a GNARLY, but pulls pretty good.
