  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husky Graphics

I have a '09 TE250, and all the stickers are peeling off around the edges. Has anyone figured out how to stop this?

I was considering putting some of that clear protective film, like you can get for the front of cars, over the stickers and overlapping the plastic tank/fenders about an inch. Think it would work?

Thanks!

Probably, but everyone I know has had problems with those graphics sticking. I tried just about everything under them to get them to stick. I think they did something to them when they came thru customs that caused them to peel like that.

Buy the 2010 plastics that have the graphics embedded into the plastic radiator shrouds, no more stickers.......as for the rest of the stickers, they peel. My 2010 "Husqvarna" sticker on the headlight and the 2 TE310 stickers on the side number plates edges rolled up. I just pulled them off.........

I use super glue ...others use clear fingernail polish ...some replace the plastics with the 010 stuff ...

Clear protective film sounds like it might have promise ... send out some pics if you go that route ..

for me i just peeled them all off, they dont help in anyway except looks so off they went. they do have some places that make after market husky graphics if your into that sort of thing. good luck!

yes 08-09-10 all good, all same.
my '08 TXC450 has '10 embedded graphic shrouds on it.

But the embedded graphics are only on the tank shrouds, all the rest peel off.
