• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Those videos are pretty clear. What camera and mount system are you using?

hey wet dog.. how was your season ?

I used a hero digital 170 deg lens.....its much sharper on dvd on my 52in TV..a stcky mount very secure to the top of my helmet...you dont know its there.....

the format is converted three times ..to shorten them and meet photobusket requirements..its way better from the card...so so after the internet..

Only watched the first and last one - nice!

Almost like an IMax movie experience, that is where the have super wide angle shots on a huge screen to make people feel like they are at the location.

My season was simply OK. I missed 9 weeks of riding mid summer when a tree jumped out on the trail causing me to take a nasty hi speed tumble or get clotheslined at 45 mph. All said I seperated my AC (collarbone). Surgery will fix it properly but I'm still waiting for the day that happens (likely spring).

Holy crap....!!! well that sucks...one never knows when these things will happen....was your TXC damaged badly.??

Little to no damage on the bike, I took the brunt of the fall to protect the bike. I often forget my body is 43 not 20 something.

Yep, cheaper to fix bike than a human body.

I think you have a human body... actually never met you

Hey Coffee I should of taken your advise. Early in the year I seperated a shoulder, blew a knee out and bruised some ribs on my TXC. I let the bike land on me. No damage to the bike but I am still feeling the after effects.
