• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Can you guys se the conection in design with the olde 570 models. I am thinking about th sidepanles on the fueltank for an exampel.

And i can not see any conection wth KTM design at all. Maybe that it have two wheels also.

I hope Husqvarna and BMW still is seperate brands. It looks that way.

There isn´t much Husqvarna in this bike. But im pretty sure that Husqvarna have helped BMW a lot

It may be a BMW engine but the chassis has been developed by Husqvarna and the styling done by Centrostile, the Husqvarna design studio so it's very much a Husqvarna.

Exact Dave, just what i write.

But i think one of the mainpart in a motorcycle is the engine. And i don´t think it is a Husqvarna engine. I think everyone can see that.
It seem like they have changed the clutch, one of the problemareas on the BMW engine.

Ofcourse Husqvarna have a big part in the chassiedevelopment. Maybe all of it.

I also think it is very importent with brandname, and don´t mix them to much. But sometimes it is the only solution so they can survive.
But i don´t think it is in this case.

It is very interesting how this will work out.

Best regards

The linkage is on top of the swingarm. Apparently Husq engineers have found 8hp in the BMW motor by re-working the head.

WOW  Thats a lot.

- the more I look at it the more i like it.

Damn interesting pics! It's a Husky seat installed backwards and cut away for gas cap. Still showing the concentric swingarm/countershaft system. Shock linkage won't be drug through the mud and skidded over rocks/logs/roots anymore. The fuel header tank looks interesting and vulnerable. The bike looks like it could be a pain to work on, though. Maybe it'll never need worked on

you might be right there, but I doubt it will be overly difficult.
I hate working on Asian bikes now because of the bulky aluminum frames limiting work space.
yet I still do it

thats cool that they sub contracted accossato, I saw their display at EICMA 08 they have continued to build high end sub components under their name even since the Accossato enduros ceased production many years ago. Those bikes were every euro kids dream enduro bike (regolarita') back in the 70s.

Ti rear spring? Reikon pegs and sure bars as well if they sub conned with them. I like it big time,,,,the frame is super strong looking in the swingarm area with the outside buttress plus the inside frame rails. The upper linkage is very logical. the seat is just amazing, I think we have a winner. Welcome back to MX.......and say hello to Juhas new enduro weapon.
