• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husky 800 paralell twin

ghte

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Just read on the dreaded TT that Husky is possably building an 800 parallel twin, similar in looks to the SMS630 concept. No news if it is a rehash of the BMW motor or an all new motor in a Husky frame. Well I will welcome such a beastie to the range. Good on you Husky. Hope its true.

Me too. I'll need to sell a couple of street bikes it this is true.

I would love a husky to take on the beemer and the new Truimph. I just picked up a mint 1990 Honda Transalp has my dirt crusier. I still have my 08 te610 that is the best ds out there. I hope husky does not source bmw for all its motor needs. The new 250/310 and 630 are proof husky can do the job.

i agree yet taking a current motor like the 800 twin which husky has nothing like and making a cool frame / bike around it makes a lot of sense. There is going to be a lot of cross breading, it was that way every time someone rescued husky again. Done right i see nothing but good products because of it.

Holy shift, I dig it !!!

Yes, obviously it’s a bad photochop schlep
But this is exactly what I want them to start with
This should be the starting point for something incredibly sexy and brutish to take on the KT950/990

Man I’m incredibly exited about the future, maybe I won’t own a KTM after all :busted:

Oh and Kelly I say 810 or 910

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

That's a streetfighter/hooligan photochop. Nothing close to a Triumph tiger/cub or bmw gs style adventure bike. :excuseme:

Edit: guess it could be kinda sms with the boingers but......

Horrible photoshop of the current F650/F800GS, some of the plastics at the front weren't even redesigned just hidden by coloring. And it kind of makes me miss my GS.

Now the other one, that is hot...
