• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husky 125 Cases - What makes them different.

2T_vs_4T

Husqvarna
AA Class
The 2040 Cases on the 77-82 CR-WR and the 2069 Cases on the 1982 WR, what makes them different, also the 2093 Cases on the 83 CR-WR-XC, what makes them different.
The cranks in all of them are the same part number 16 10 380-01.
Also, with the 125 small end needle bearing and the two spacers either side of the bearing, part
number 16 10 674-01, are they used with after market pistons, like Wisco os Wossner.
Any help from the Husky exprerts.
Cheers 2T_vs_4T.

I can't tell you the difference between cases. When I put the Wossner kit in my 82 WR I used the supplied pin along with the original needle bearing as well as the original spacers. Runs like a champ.

The differance is in the transfer port area. One is rectangular the other is a bit odd shaped.

I was looking at the cases of my '82 WR 125 - 2069 and the transfer area is say rectangular, but the barrel transfer area is an irregular shape and the base gasket is not a good match and overlaps the transfer area.
The '82 CR barrel transfer area is the rectangular shape, but it has two small transfers at the rear, the 2093 cases must have the cut outs for the rear transfers, does any one have a photo of the 2093 cases.
Hi smadams68,
Do you have a part number for the Wossner piston you put in your '82 WR.
