    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

I have spent a lot of time on this forum since 2009 and enjoy it very much. Looked around a little, I thought there was a place where you can pay pal money to contribute to the forum?
 
Ok, after years of having this on my todo list, I gave some indication to other people how to become a contributing member here, which is where people go when they click on the "Contributing" button on the top of the page: http://www.cafehusky.com/XenStaff/ - I may actually make a hot link there later.

So I finally got around to going for the upgrade. The Paypal page to make the payment indicates an error. Anybody done this recently?
 
Right?:eek: It was weird, Paypal just kept saying "we're having a problem completing your transaction right now" I tried some of the other buttons. Actually worked right away if I closed browser, signed back in and went straight to the upgrade. I feel so orificial.:thumbsup:
 
Guess i need to contribute again too. Seems I've lost my contributing member status :) im going to wait until coffee comes back though :)
 
Well that makes sense then. Only seems like yesterday I got my signed by Ty Davis classy Husqvarna shirt :thumbsup: Can't get rid of the '13 310 since it's a historically significant item.

Need a new one :) It's the coolest thing i own besides my Husky :) got a Delong autograph now too, thats pretty cool. Never had autographed stuff until this shirt so Ty is officially my favorite racer ever. Kind of odd idolizing racers now considering I'm older then most of the current ones lol.
 
I wish the new shirts weren't so expensive, I'd have Andy sign them for you even though he is no longer factory team leader for next year.
