• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

how many left kickers do U have?

hello there
it will be better with the pictures ....................
There is a sticky in this section for that. I have put pictures of some of my stuff in there over the years. I have ridden three so far this year and most likely will have to enter a fourth on Saturday unless I can enter something with a mix of components.

I kick all my left kickers with my right leg so are they "truly" left kickers?

It doesn't count that way. At least I think it means which side the kick starter is on. I to the same thing 99% of the time but am at least standing on the left side of the bike. I do not like the way some of my right kick bikes the foot hits the footpeg and kick then with the left leg as much as possible.

If most of us would just contain our selves and only have 1 , Just think how nice that one could be!
Instead we will buy project after project and have a couple of just so so finished bikes...

the problem is I don't find them , they find me !!! and I just cant say no.

normally not being able to say no is along the lines of a speech impediment
in our world where the intercourse is all about our favorite or close to brand, it's a Husky impediment, or add your word/phrase to describe

I'm coming back here for motivation.. I have an 01' gasgas 300, an 09 ' Beta 525 RS and a 15' 300 rr Beta .. got my 300 rr Beta and forgot about the others for awhile.. so I want to get my 82' husky 430 cr going.. bought it with a few pieces missing but just gotta get off my butt and get moving on it.. has what looks like some trick parts for it's time.. Fox fork, pro circuit rear fender, 18" rear rim etc.. I raced an 82' 430 xc way back when it was new.. figured I better get another 430 as it is like a ghost that keeps haunting my memory.. I have most of the parts i need and new plastics etc.. Thanks everyone for posting up!!!
