• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hottest KTM ever

Lots of KTM's come with the float level way to high and piss gas a lot, might have been the issue.

It looked like flames immediately engulfed the gas tank, that's why I thought the gas cap might have leaked. I thought KTMs had gas cap issues as well.

actually he signalled the "Some guys watching" who were FIREFIGHTERS to the fire, hence the yellin and wavin.. The decision to stop happened so quick i decided to not, he was off the bike safe and sound and im in no way trained or certified to put out a fire!!! what would my camel pack do to douce the flames, the firefighters response was quick responsible and professional. ps that average middle of the pack lapper is leadin the class... and finished 2nd in the race..

I guess being a west coaster I didnt catch the eastern dialect. Out west "whoa, whoa, whoa" means "hey look out I coming through" out east it means "hey are you ok" and "there is a guys bike on fire back there can you go help him?" Way to go on the second place finish though. Any bets on who the Canadian Champ is going to be in the WEC ? My money is on the westerners with Bobby Prochnou coming out on top and Ryan Graffunder being top Husky.

thats ok more likely the diarhea of the mouth i had goin threw you off, that was only my 6th race ever, and very first bike ignitin into flame incident, i was shocked to say the least, i didnt know what to do, i wanted to stop but i also want to win, im really rootin for wooojo hes rippin it up out here right now!

It didn't look to me like there was a good reason to stop unless you had some hot dogs or marshmallows or of course a fire extinguisher.

Tough call. If I saw he was safe and walking I would keep on going to. No matter what brand bike someone is on (even if they are stupid and choose a KTM) we must all help each other. Again that would scare the @#$*!*#& out of me**************************************** The reality is it is more of a rival thing. If Husqvarna had choosen the right path and hired the right people this would all be reversed as it should and there would be a sea of Husky's and a few KTM;s (on fire)

You saw him walking and AWAY from the bike. Good enough. I'm sure if he were on fire or seriously hurt you would have stopped. Good choice in my opinion.

The video is private now. I didn't get to see it but anytime a fellow rider is down it's a good idea to ask if he's ok. Doesn't take a lot of time. Just sayin

That's some scary shiite. One of my worst nightmares along with the unstoppable downhill in tight trees with a hairpin at the bottom

. Petrol in clothing = loss of flesh. Hope he came through alright. Screw the bike, it's replaceable.

My fuel line popped off on one of my street bikes a few weeks ago, dousing my leg and exhaust with gas. Luckily the exhaust wasn't hot enough yet to ignite. I was even wearing Nomex at the time but it really doesn't matter what you're wearing if it's soaked in gas.

Fortunately, gas on a blazzing hot pipe does not ignite because it boils away, and unless the vapor
is enclosed and reaches a combustable vapor pressure, fire does not usually result. Soaked clothing is bad though, cause if anything sets it off....
