• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Why did that happen??? That is the BEST looking KTM I have ever seen. I would buy it for what they are worth. NOTHING. Really why did that happen???

Gas cap leaking maybe? Let's see how long we can keep the orange and fire jokes going.... let's see what rhymes with orange?

Maybe he ate at a good mexican place. I know methane is flameable. Good reason to carry full coverage ins on your dirtbike**************************************** I want to know what he did to pass a guy who I hope was on a husky, now look buy following a KTM it is proof not only can you see scattered parts but you can see a guy ALMOST catch on fire!! (jokes aside this would scare the @#$%# out of me!!) I have heard of alot of the new style yamaha Phazer snowmobiles doing this same thing for no reason.

That's some scary shiite. One of my worst nightmares along with the unstoppable downhill in tight trees with a hairpin at the bottom

. Petrol in clothing = loss of flesh. Hope he came through alright. Screw the bike, it's replaceable.

My fuel line popped off on one of my street bikes a few weeks ago, dousing my leg and exhaust with gas. Luckily the exhaust wasn't hot enough yet to ignite. I was even wearing Nomex at the time but it really doesn't matter what you're wearing if it's soaked in gas.

There is a longer video of this on you tube showing the whole first lap of a race. I must say the guy riding the Husky is a real ------ I understand that racing gets you hyped up but he dosen't stop to see if the KTM guy is alright or see if he can help put out the fire or even stop 200m down the trail to tell people watching the race that some guys bike is on fire he wasn't even having a great race mid pack at best.

actually he signalled the "Some guys watching" who were FIREFIGHTERS to the fire, hence the yellin and wavin.. The decision to stop happened so quick i decided to not, he was off the bike safe and sound and im in no way trained or certified to put out a fire!!! what would my camel pack do to douce the flames, the firefighters response was quick responsible and professional. ps that average middle of the pack lapper is leadin the class... and finished 2nd in the race..

Just in case the people who wrote it are wondering. I edited a couple of posts in this thread. There is no need to for name calling of any sort, it adds nothing to the content and breeds discontent among members. Play nice!!!

makes me want to really check out my M-T-K 400.... just got a little insurance on it & my 4 wheeler last week in a cool multi-vehicle deal that included the 610
