• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hot off the rumor mill.....

The latest gossip has Zach Osborne and Martin Davalos signing with Husqvarna for the 2015 250 SX season, joining Jason Anderson as we already know. It will be a rockstar-supported factory-backed team.
Josh grant is out at JGR and has been mentioned as a possible Husky rider also...

But that's nothing! The hottest rumor in the pits right now, is that......

Villopoto might hang it up. His recent knee surgery might take a second go at it to get it right, and if that happens he will retire. Either way, he will not be on the MXdN team.

I'd be cool with both Osborne and Davalos riding Husky's next year. They are both great riders and podium threats. Davalos should have had a title this year too. Grant is still a great rider when things go his way, but things rarely go his way.

I'll go with the 250 guys but have doubts on JG33 ... Seems he puts forth effort to keep his job (or whatever) when the bosses are looking and then fades back into the top 20 ... Husky can get a better, second 450 rider to go with JA17 I think.

My US hopes for a US WEC Champ died with Ricky D's departure from the scene.
Zach O is used to the EU life as a former MXGP guy, I would love to see him get picked up with a wec team. most all the top 10 WEC guys are former pro mx/sx guys now as well.

Ricky D is dating my neighbor. I see him almost every week. Does good when he races WORCS but struggling in Endurocross.

Zach is married now, so I really doubt we'll see him go back to Europe. I wouldn't be surprised to see him make a WEC appearance, now and again for Husky, as KC66 did for KTM. It would be cool to see him riding a Husky, on a winning USA ISDE Trophy Team!

I's also like to see Zack hammer it in the 6 Days and WEC! Kid has game and style!
