• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Honestly How Does Les @ LTR do it???? Perfect Forks Again!

Just recieved my rebuilt front forks TC450 from Les @ LTR. Rebuilt to replace broken spring and complete fork service.

I asked him to set me up for intermediate MX only this time , my weight and skill level and type of tracks I ride Glen Helen, Milestone, Pala.

Told him the concerns that I wanted to address: primarily harshness working through the braking bumps and having my suspension overall absorb the effects of me riding much more agressively now .

We spoke three or four times over the phone. I bolted these on on Sunday and headed out to Milestone MX in Riverside California last night.

Took it easy for a few laps ... pitted, gave everything a once over and then went out aggressively put in a few laps, hitting some sequences of doubles, tables and high speed sections with tables.

These forks performed flawlessy and Les nailed everything right out of the box!

Harshness throught he braking bumps is completely gone, Rebound is prerfect, Compression is stiffer but absorbs better than before ... bike just handles so much better.

Hats off to you Les. :notworthy:

Absolutely amazing!

Side note.... much easier to ride the whoops section now...

I kept my LTR'd 510 because it was such a plush ride compared to my 250. Point and shoot at the rocks instead of bouncing off of them. He's got my 250's boingers now and if it rides as good as the 510, I'll probably sell the big bore finally. Am excited to ride the new suspension, just have to find the time to do it!
