• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Holy snotballs!! chad reed wreck

He's one lucky guy after that ... After everything else, he hit his head on the way down ... He might have been knocked out for a little while laying there ...It looked like his front wheel washed slightly and the rear just took off and it was over ...

He said afterwards he did not really know what happened but "I hit some bumps and the front wheel just went out from under me," said Reed. "The next thing I know, I'm flying through the air and felted like puking afterwards ... He might have a concussion ..

He had ~every reason to stay off the bike after that ... Did you see the size of the step-up he flew over after he re-started?

Too bad for the crash and I'm glad he's OK ... cr and RV2 and RD5 were going to have quite a race ...

Can't say I was a fan before, but am shocked that he could remount & ride hard to stay in the points lead. Between the last SX season & the outdoors going on now, it's some of the best sports/entertainment out there.

Not only did he get back up and finish the race, he finished in good points - good enough to retain the points lead!

Even if you used to hate the man, you have to respect his determination and grit.

Very well said :thumbsup:Also, finished good points and should win the championship. These aren't just fast guys on dirt bikes, but great athletes!

There are 3 riders within 7 points of each other with 10 races to go ... Canard is back and can ran run with RV2, RD5, and cr also ... Sorry, but that championship is a long ways off ...

Pretty amazing the bike was not hurt either ... That sandy ground must have helped cr and the bike on impact ...

Not sure what happened to cr bikes at Southwick on Aug 27... but just judging by his races after the crash ... His outdoor racing career may be over after this year or at least his contending for a title in the future may only be a dream ...
