I'm leaving in 10 minutes to head on over to MotoXotica.

Dan's got something waiting for me at the shop...

WoodsChick
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!

Motosportz;82506 said:I find I am riding mine more than my 2010 TXC250 just because it is so freaking FUN**************************************** Fogging it like a mad man is just good fun. Enjoy.
That's the plan! I've been goofing around on the big bikes ever since I broke my ankle and I fear I've forgotten how to ride hardI'm sure being on a 125 again will make me remember in a hurry
- just noticed yours does not have the updated head stay mounts. Odd. It's not an issue though. New ones only have one bolt up top to eliminate breakage.
So, mine has 2 bolts but it's not an issue? Weren't they part of the "upgrade" package? I didn't even think of that...
- Also looks like it has the pipe that rubs the resi.
Grr...again, there was a new pipe with the "upgrade" kit, but I guess the changes were only internal? I guess I should search for the "fix" for this.
- Lube the linkage and steering stem bearings before you ride it, with real grease.
We usually tear down our new bikes and re-do everything befor riding them. I want to get the suspension broken in a bit before sending it to Les, though, and I figured I'd regrease everything while the suspension was off. Am I gonna kill it by riding if for a few weekends? I mean, is it that bad?
- Might have someone go through and bleed the forks, seems like they come kinda messed up and are WAY better after done right. I may have a little present for you (Have some light springs that might work great in those for you)
Cool! I might need `em. I'll know more once I get some hours on it. My forks are poking up out of the clamps by quite a bit. How far up are most of you running them?
- Stock skid plate is actually pretty good and like $20 it you do kill it.
Yeah, it's cool that they put one on there at all. The fame guards are a nice touch, too.
- Clarke confirmed on the phone today they are making a 3 gallon tank for it.
Wow!Perfect timing! I probably would have bought one of these bikes a long time ago sight unseen had it been equipped with a larger tank from the factory.
- Not necessary but the PWK carb sure works better on it, especially with the JD needle.
What size PWK are you using? It seems to have a rather large carb for a 125.
- unfortunately it needs a sparky. FMF makes one.
wallybean;82515 said:WooooHoooo, Woodschick.
Kelly will fix you up with all the trick stuff. If I was doing it over again I would buy the PWK first thing instead of struggling to find the sweet spot on the TMX. Hee Hee, I am pretty quick to spend other peoples money.

Welcome to the club. I was just thinking about whether or not you decided to get the bike...I guess it wasn't really an option though, after riding one. Now you can join us in talking about how we blew past 450s on the MX track, drag raced corvettes on the street, and placed it in your office as decoration....amazing bike, even if it only makes you feel like a hero on two wheels, ha ha.
A lot of fun ahead of you now.
