  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Can't wait to get her on the trail, seems quiet compared to my 07

CONGRATS! Man I need a crate with a prize like that in it. Man these Husky's look SWEEEEET. Enjoy and let the modding begin.

Congrats - hope you like it - looks great
Whats with big trucks with you guys isnt there a recession - fuel bills?

Seems like yesterday I was rolling mine out of the crate.....

Glad you finally got one....your going to love it :)

curious that your light and panels are already installed...

I am sure MotoTech assembled and checked the bike first and then re-crated for shipping. I had Bill install the lighting kit on mine before he shipped it to.

Woo-hoo! Congrats on the new bike and welcome to the ever-growing 125 club :applause:

I ended up paying less for my `09 WR125 than I did for my brand new 1997 CR125 14 years ago!! How crazy is that??

I'm leaving in a few minutes for a 2-day ride up in the just-rained-on Sierras :) Nothing makes me giggle more than that 125 ;)

Great looking toy. Just enjoy her, then give us a comparo between the 07 and 09 please.

Thanks all:cheers:... Just did the "Maiden Voyage 09" yesterday and had a complete blast. Will do a ride report/comparo, once the bike is dialed, but first impressions are very good. The 09 is pretty much a step above in all departments, except for the small tank, way open airbox, and chitty graphics(already ripped/falling off).

I haven't been riding/racing much this year yet I completely meshed with this bike from the get go.

A few pics of the "Twins" the 07 is for sale**************************************** and has been(had one nibble in 8 months)

Surfer,

It is only going to get better. As you dial it in for what you want the new frame/geometry/suspension will absolutely blow you away with how good it is. Give those Michelins away at your first oportunity and put on a set of Motoz's. I reallllllly like the Terrapactors for the 125.

You are buying at a great time as many new after market goodies are coming on line for these great little scoots. There are now 3 auto clutch possibilities: EFM, Revloc Dyna ring, and Rekluse will be making a similar set up to the Dyna Ring. Larger tank from Clarke is just around the corner. OEM 144 kit to give you that extra zip. And the list goes on.

Enjoy,
Walt
