  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Help!!! TE 510 wobbles like duck!!

Please feel free to delete my post if you find it offensive in any way. It was most certainly not my intention and I appreciate every responce I receive.

However. Searching across multiple places shows many many people with the same issue. Perhaps official how to deal with wobble guide fom husky would help??

so I heeded to the advice and tightened up head bearings a bit...not too much.. just a bit tighter..

added another 5mph...now i can hit 65+ ..

new tires are going on tomorow..

continental twinduro TKC80

latest update.

so I got continental twinduro TKC80 installed....now i was able to see 70 on the speedo...it's like every change i do i get 5mph extra

but wobble is still there after 70...

I know TE510 is not a road bike, but I am at a loss here as to why it just refuses to track straight...

i tightened up head bearing bit more as well...I guess next step is to take it to the dealer...

my 09 smr would headshake at around 65 when i first got it, played with the suspension settings and depending on the road wind etc it shakes sometimes at around 85. i replaced the stock front fender with the acrebis unit and that took a little more out of it.

i say play with the damping/rebounds front and rear, a click or two at a time, up and down. i carried a screwdriver in my pocket the day i decided i wanted to spend some time to fiddle with it

Lets not forget the bike is a TE . The geometry of the forks are different than an smr. I feel that with proper adjustments it will work. I have a computrack suspension appointment july 8th and will let everyone know there cure.

On another note, I had a 15 minute makeshift track ride. lots of switches and banks. The bike is soooooooo exciting to ride. i was weary at high speeds throwing the bike around with a unstable front end, but pure Adrenaline kept me holding the throttle down regardless. husky is staying in my garage. if this one doesnt work out than ill just go down and buy a new smr. problem solved !!

Are you going to Mike in CT? I've done all my racebikes at computrack. Always perfect. And I hear you About smr...

But I need my te to work. If I am getting second bike it will be new BMW missile.
