• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Help required in Houston if possible

A Class
I live in Perth Western Australia, and I have purchased a 1982 WR250 fuel tank on eBay, I have had it sent to my forwarding agent in Houston(USA2me). They are now telling me that it has a small quantity of fuel in it and they by law cannot ship it to Australia, they also say that they cannot send it back to the original sender all they can do is send it to the disposal site.
So my question is this, is there anybody in and around the Houston area of (10685-B, Hazelhurst Dr. Houston TX 77043) that would be prepared to help me out here, I would like some one to pick up the tank and clean it out, thoroughly flush it with soapy water or similar so there are no fumes or odours and return it to USA2me. I am prepared to pay for this service as long as it is reasonable.
Thanks & Regards Brian Squires

Damn, so sorry to hear about that. If I was within 100 miles I'd help you out but California is a bit further. I ship on Ebay and the all the carriers are explicit that hazardous materials are to be either documented as such or not shipped. Another option I wouldn't hesitate pursuing is contacting Ebay customer service about the seller shipping your item with hazardous waste inside. Ebay sellers are suppose to understand such restrictions. I don't believe seller ignorance is allowed in this case.
