• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

HELP! Need clutch rivets ASAP

sasrocks

Husqvarna
AA Class
I am replacing the cup washers and having trouble sourcing OEM rivets. I have the clutch apart now and am down. I want to go OEM. Anyone have a line on who has them? if so let me know here! thanks!!!

yes, have some on back order, until there are in my hands I will keep looking, you got some?

I have (3) part #800036848 rivets available.

PM me an offer.

Edit - never mind on offer, I'll take $5 for them shipped CONUS via USPS unless you want some kinda express service in which case I'd have to get a quote.

UPDATE. I sourced these rivets from 2 separate dealers. the rivets shipped from Husky are too short. When pressed into the hub, there is no material left to form a mushroom head. The material expands to fill the hole and the rivet ends up flush with the hub. It was inadequate for service. I had to source some rivets from McMaster Carr that formed a nice fat mushoom cap. The cap had to be ground down a but for clearance.

I have 60+ rivets if anyone wants some I will sell them for $8 for 4 rivets w s/h. PM if interested.

I have a set of OEM rivets and a set of Indy's washers witing for installation. The OEM rivets are 18.24mm overall. I wonder if all the rivets supplied are short or if your order was an exception. Are your McMaster rivets longer than the ones I have? If so, I better get some.
As a side note, the first rivet order came with the right PN, but the package contained orings.

The MMC rivets are 1" (25.4mm). the ones you have will not work if you press them in correctly, progressively via hammer press. You will be left with no material to form a head to capture the hub. These were easily pressed out in order to fit the larger rivets.
