• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

It has been 3 years since I have been so we got tickets for Atlanta SX, should be good, most everyone is healthy.
Milsaps still has not had a bad race, not even a bad start.
Dungey continues click off some of the fastest laps, if the races were 30 laps long he might win them all!
Villipoto is always fast and tough, don't let him get a start, or it could be over.
James Stewart looks like he may be back, got big James standing behind him on the start, I think he is afraid not to give his all!
Chad Reed, maybe a little off the pace, but he is still the bull dog.
Canard has been slipping a little lately, but I still feel a big breakout coming.
Barcia's sophomore slump has hit a little early.
Andrew Short is on a BTO KTM this week, we will see if it is as good as a showroom Honda.

You are going for one great race. Short on a good bike and Tomacs testing of the 450 class. Have fun and take some pictures!
 
Have fun it will be a great, high-energy atmosphere! Excellent breakdown of the riders pretty much spot-on IMO. And, like you said.................................

Observations from Atlanta:
Even though the mains were a little anti climatic, overall the day was a lot of fun. We started off by touring the pits, biggest crowd we have ever seen, at one point we could not even move, didn't like that part to much but shows the health of the sport. My wife got autographs from Andrew Short, Broc Glover, and Kyle Partridge. Andrew was great personality as usual, Broc went way out of his way to try and find something to sign, and we were talking with Partridge because I loved that he was working on his own bike!
We went down to the second row to watch practice, really cool to be that close and hear the bikes on the limiter in the rhythm section. The race doesn't always tell the whole tale. Stewart didn't set the fastest lap until the final two minutes. Milsaps was consistently quick just like he has been in the races. Trey Canard and Tomac looked very good and quick in practice, JS just beat their time at the very end. Neither Villipoto or Dungey looked very good in practice, only a good start saved Villi in the race.
Not sure if it was the track design or the top 8-10 guys are just competing at such a high level but not only was there very little passing but the gaps remained pretty constant.
We had a feeling JS was going to win, the good heat race and clutch problem in the main the week before, we knew there would be a fire burning...
Icing on the cake, the KTM kids were back! Another fast redhead on the way, Tim Ferry's kid won!
I highly recommend the experience if you get the chance.
 
Can't wait to watch the 250 race tomorrow just to see what Zach Bell is going to do!
I thought D. Wilson was going to dominate also, But Will Hahn has been riding great with some very aggressive passes.
