• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Had my 144 kit sitting here awaiting an install and the unpainted head just was screaming paint me. Then I thought of the red valve covers and bam, 2st Tessi...

Just as good as polishing it! Looks nice! Is that a husky bar pad lurking in the background?

it is.

At first I was just going to paint it silver as the clay mud here stains unpainted motor parts and I hate that. Then I thought what the heck and blinged it. :D

Sick! Can't wait to see it mounted...

What kind of paint did you use?

Well I want to get engine paint and hated all the colors of red, then the parts dude said use the brake caliper paint (rated for the same heat as a motor paint). He used it on an air cooled drag bike motor running nitrous and said it held up great. We will see. I like the color of red it turned out, nice and deep.

Gonna send PC over to snatch that Husky Bar Pad!

I got dibs on that one. If there's another then I'll get it for ya

Looks good Kelly. I'd love to bling out my bike, but I just end destroying whatever part looks good. Every time!

darn it, I have had mine painted since january, just never posted pictures. I used engine enamel, it is holding up very well, and looks exotic. Didn't want the 4 strokers having all the fun.

I think it is going to look great. I like the red valve cover on my '09 TXC250.

Take some pics when you get it all together on the bike!

Woodschick,

You may not need it, but I am sure you want it. The 144 kit I mean and yes you will be even faster.
