• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hawaii Riders?

Hey, how's it going? I was just seeing how many Husky riders there are in Hawaii. Already talked to one, Kevin. Just seeing if there are any more out there.

That's a great video! Wonder who made it? Youtube changed my music that was originally there, and you could hear the actual video.
I'm trying to get back home after my stint in Alabama is over and then we can definitely hook up for a Husky ride. BTW that wasn't me that went over the bars on that jump. I used to ride there every weekend and raced a few hare scrambles. Love it! I know I'll hear it, so yes I used to ride Honda's.:busted: I also sold that GoPro and need to get another one. Later

That's crazy that the video I pick out of all the videos on the tube ended up being made by someone on this forum.

Oh yeah, where about? I'm from up-country area (Pukalani/Kula). I used to ride on Hana side when I was little.

I have no idea, never been there. he just went permanent to the island.

I love Hawaii...I spent a couple weeks on Molokai last winter, and spent a lot of time on Oahu when I was younger. Whats it cost to ship a bike across? From say....Seattle. Would be sweet to have a plated bike.

I know Kevin610 got his here from Oregon for $500.

Got together with him today. He was nice enough to show me his bike and let me take a quick test ride. After riding the bike
and seeing all that can really be done to it, I'M SOLD. Will be at the dealer either Tuesday or Wednesday to place my order.

Thanks again Kevin!!!

I don't think it would be that much since many riders ship bikes over for the two major races we have in Hawaii. Those that race in the Mauna Kea 200 and the nasty hare scramble on Kauai that draws many pro riders from the mainland.
