• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Having withdrawals....

I feel weird that I haven't raced since Aug 26. Then after riding for two consecutive weekends helping with some club course scouting duties, I didn't ride last weekend. I was pretty hard on my bike and needed to fix a couple of things (like the missing rear brake pedal tip from a nasty rock) give it a needed oil change, a new rear practice tire and tube (yep, pinched it flat on some other rock) so long story short, wrenching and not riding this weekend...again. And it looks like I may not race again for a little bit. ARRRRGGGHHHH!:banghead:

WHAT THE HELL AM I GONNA DO? I looked and there's no program or meeting in my town for Motocrack Anonymous.

Tem, you can have too many bikes but having a single backup bike might not be too bad an idea ... And I watch my own videos lots instead of what ever you wanna call the mainstream media stuff ..

I'm whipped here ... We race tomorrow finally and I'll take at least 5-7 days off afterwards ... Then back to the trails when going slow and stopping is AOK.

Well, I do have a YZ250 Two Stroke and the kid has a CR125R (he's away at school). But, the YZ needs some work so it isn't that much fun to ride - sounds bitchen though (BRAAAP!).

There is LDS this sat and then sat night after LDS is the 10 hours of Glen Helen Then 2 week later there is big bear Take that 2 stroke gear it down and come climb some stuff at LDS

Well at least my bike is ready to go again. I don't think I'll do LDS, but might come watch. The Big Bear thing looks fun. Maybe we can see if the rookie can get a hard ways plaque.
