  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hall's Husky!! the only place for parts.

it is currently snow covered in jackson, wy., but not enough snow for any good skiing or snowmobiling so i decided to tear down my 2008 TE 450. this is something i knew needed to be done before what has become an annual 2 weeks in baja. i have the bike down to the frame and motor and came up with a list of parts, long list including swing arm and linkage bearings, etc. i contacted three Husky dealers that were open monday to order parts, 1 in california and 2 in idaho. they all took my list of parts and said they would get back in touch with me.as of this post none of the three got back with me. i called Hall's cycle, who i have done some ordering through, this moring and spoke with Bob. Bob took my order and called me back within 2 hours. the parts are on order and i should have them in a week.:thumbsup::thumbsup: i will do all my ordering from them now.

thanks to all at Hall's, wish i had a dealership like them closer to me.

You would think that businesses would treat customers better in this economic climate. The business that go above and beyond my expectations, be it a simple call to say yes or no on your inquiry gain a customer for life.
Hall's, MotoXotica, Uptite, Munn Racing (KTM) are the clear leader's in customer service.

Kudo's to Hall's.

Having the older Husky's that I own I found that my dad was using Hall's when I was going through some old parts and was having a hard time getting parts. That is until I found Hall's. They are great in my book and helped me out at the last minute when I needed parts ASAP and I was leaving for a ride in 3 days time. Great people and great service****************************************!

Wish I had a dealer like them close to home!!!

All the Husky shops have been very good to me..ESP BMP in OR and Taskys in WA. RockymountainMC is one of the few parts stores that is always good to deal with...The Uptite guy was quick with his shipping also...

I'm not gonna name the 3-4 others in WA state that have given me poor/non-existence customer service...after they ship a part (even a wrong part) and get UR money, U can almost forget about anything else from them. Customer service is lost in america...some of this stuff is borderline stealing...

It is all over usa like this...I was staying at a friends home and he was ordering lots of KX parts...He got shafted over and over from some of the web places...These guys were advertising one part and sending out others and when he called them up, it did not help.

A few times all I needed was a few questions and some of these clowns will not even answer emails.

I should add I'm trying to ship my Husky to the Philippines. The place listed below has been totally great so far...If you wanna create and ship a bike, I'd start with these guys... Ask for Tim.

Dealers:
I think that Up-tite guy will spend allot of time on the phone with you, and in person he is top notch. He has more info in the corner of his mind than I can use.
Hall's has a wonderful Sales and parts Department.
Tasky's is a great place for parts and orders are shipped pronto.
Independents like Motosportz has been great also.
If people want to pick and choose their customers than let them. We will keep the good ones open and the bad ones will fade into dust.

:thumbsup:halls was the husky dealer of the year 2009, they will ship on the same day if it is an item they have in stock and you call them in the mornings.

i will put one in for motoxotica . I live in N.S.W. australia i e-mailed Dan plus 5 other husky dealers in the states ,he got back to me within a day with a price and from when i said i would take them it took 4 days to get them to my door down here thats even better than what i can get them from my local dealer and the way our dollar is at the moment ( last week anyway) the parts were also halfprice compared to my local dealer .By the way only 2 of the other dealers bothered to get back to me and that was on the day i got the parts and was putting them on my bike . Good on ya Motoxotica
