• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC Hakkalugi's TE150

Ahaha, ill miss the 150 & im very glad I put a bit of time on it, its all about finding what ya like! Now seriously, someone come buy this bike!

We all make a big stink about what the best bike is, but it doesn't matter. Get out and have fun with your gang.
Yes the best bike, is what you like and works for you! Some guys are small bore riders and some are big bore riders. Although guys on KTM Talk believe that a 300 is the cure for everything.... Bed wetting children to male pattern baldness and more! Don't forget the wife bike label either!:busted:

So I pulled out of the 300 for now, I had dislocated my shoulder for the second time shortly after putting the deposit & decided to hold onto the 150 for the winter. I do have it up forsale still and get a few bites now & then but no one has shown up with the cash money yet. My dad did pick up a 300 and is a force to be reckoned with on it. Ill probably jump on one once the spring rolls around. I dont ride in the winter, between work & skiing and all that nonsense it just doesnt appeal to me to freeze my fingers off.

Norm, that is hilarious. Having owned many KTM 540's... the 300 is decidedly NOT a big bore! But that's also what makes it so good. Now I'm down to a "half 300."

Hakkalugi, I'm pretty sure Husky will have bikes this spring. Just a hunch. Plenty of time to rehab that shoulder. I recommend a regular regimen of 16oz. curls in front of the fire. Meanwhile, here in Northern Kalifornia, prime woods season is just beginning. I promise I won't have any fun until you're better. Ha Ha... had my spokes crossed!

Ive been practicing with 12oz's almost ready for the 16oz'ers then maybe ill bump up to 40 oz by the end of winter, you know, to get my strength up ;)

Well, the TE150 went off to its new home today. I put a deposit on a 18' KTM 300XC, very excited for this bike! Had a great time on the husky, I regret nothing about it it is a stellar bike & will surely be missed. Im glad to meet everyone on here from this bike & will be poking in and out here & there, who knows maybe a few years down the road ill be back on a husky!

No real reason I didnt get a husky over the ktm besides the fact I love the orange, I think the KTM looks alot better and now ill have a matching bike with my old man. I will miss the subframe but I surely wont miss the white plastics!
