• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

    Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi Guys
I was at the Meteor ride this last weekend...on sunday morning they had this huge hero section which was a long single track thru the pine barren...totally kickass...ten finally at the end of the ride we ended up at a huge sand pit out of nowhere...i am here sitting on a peice of log waiting for my frnds to show up....guess who shows up DFECKLE
i had chatted with him earlier on the forum abt the 300 kit etc...and out of nowhere this guy on his husky parks his bike in a huge sand pit next to mine where he could have parked anywhere among the million other spots (i should say my spot was in the shade and mych sweeter than the others)
anyway he is there with his frnd and i say what is that 250 or 450...he says 300 kit in a 250...next question...r u on cafehusky :) and there u go old frnds....like we knew each toher so well.....just didnt see the face.....anyway he spotted couple of spots of oil....gave me some pointer as to what the problem might be.....but all in all great to put faces on members here.....
Will look forward to more of u on the trails..and i must say i saw the highest number of husky there on this trail..KTM here we come

Yeah, it would be pretty cool if there were a section set up for geographic forums. Like over in ADVrider

And if we were the size of advrider we would have those already. I am trying to think of ways to better organize the forums. The only downside to having more forums, is getting people to use the right forums.

(although there things are being worked on to make things easier)

With that in mind, think I will move this thread into the General (Main) forum where all the miscellaneous threads go since it really has nothing to do with 4 stroke Husqvarna bikes

4st -> General

Hey, Rudy!

Yeah, it was fun to run into you at the Meteor dualsport. Such a small world! That's one of the great things about Huskies--we're pretty much all on CH, so if we happen to see another Husky on the trail, it's a pretty good bet that you've seen or talked with them here already.

Rudy, I'll be riding the Pine Barons Enduro this weekend, the Hammer Run down in MIllville (Sunday only) and the Stumpjumper Enduro. Let me know if you're going to any of them and we'll hook up.
