  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Well, I think you all are a bad, bad, influence on people! I have been tracking everyone on the WR125's and converting them to 144's (Lighter for tighter but a heck of a fighter!)

I think that it is interesting, I started racing on a Suz 100, then Yam/Suz 125's, then Husky 250, then Husky 390, then Husky 430, then Ktm 250, then back to 08 Husky WR250 and adding an 09 Husky WR125? Guess the older ya get you go backwards. What's down the road (Husky make a Wr Walker for nursing home some day)? Can you hear Kelly going down the nursing home hall making DOMA PIPE Sounds!

I think it will be a little easier on me since I am getting older and some of my close friends are going 125's, 150's and 200's. I definately see why Husky needs to get in the 150/200 markets.

My decision was from you great people not Dirt Rider Mag!

I just want to say thanks to Scot Harden, Norm, Kelly, Coffee, Wally,
PC, Blue Husky, Les, Drew, Robert, Hall's, Woodschick (sorry) (I could go on and on and on) and the whole gang of Cafe friends helping me make my decision.

I am excited about picking it up tomorrow afternoon from Hall's. I am already visioning ways to trick/polish her up! WRed Hot Chili #2?

 Congratulations. They are just so much fun that they make a parking lot an interesting place to ride.

You will not be sorry, while not for everyone I can't get over how fun it is. Some people jump right on, some take a few rides to understand it. I have 9 bikes it the 125 gets the loins share of the ride time, it's that good / fun.

The loins share of the ride time eh?

I knew you loved your bike, but I didn't realize you LOVED your bike :D

Woodschick,
I think you should take friday off!

You are going to be absolutley useless friday as you daydream about your new 1/4 liter buzzing betweenyour legs.

Let us know how flickable she feels ok?

Woodschick,

I did apologize to you on your other posting. I agree that you need to take today off and go riding. Make sure you put some castor type oil in it so your first ride has that new and bean oil smell! Better than airplane glue!

Why is it that every time you get a new bike the anticipation kills ya!

QUARTER liter? It's an EIGHTH LITER, dude!!

dartyppyt,

You getting the 09 or 10 model? As much as I want a new one I have to eventually step up to the TC250. I'm sure you will love it.

Just curious, but why?

BlueHusky,

Going to get an 09/ they are on sale. I looked and pondered over the TC250 but had an RMZ 250 before my 08 Wr250. I realized back then that I wasn't four stroke guy.

If I was going to get one, TC250 all the way.

Last Saturday morning, I headed to Springfield to pick up the new bike. It was ready and waiting as soon as I pulled in. I could see it waiting for me and fogging up the front display window. Steve @Hall's went over it with me, said that they put a good Pirelli on the rear and said that he was going to go get Jay Hall. Jay came out and said he jetted the bike for me. He said that he should have the jetting on and that he needed to ride it a couple of times. He recommended dropping the clip on more notch after it was broken in.
I did not ride it at all except between the ditch loading ramp and my shop. On Sunday, I got it out several times and rode in the ditches/road. I have to say: I KNOW WHAT EVERYONE IS RANTING AND RAVING OVER. I love this bike and am very impressed. I have a 2004 Suzuki RM125 in the mint cond and there is no comparison based on motor/handling. My last bike was a 250 4Stroke and am glad that I went Wr250 and now adding a WR125. If you don't own one then you are definately missing out on some fun. This bike is going to be my favorite and can tell that it is going to rip/rail in the woods.

Right on! It truly is an amazing little motor, isn't it? Put that together with the spot-on handling and it all adds up to huge fun:thumbsup: Congrats to you!

Yep, it's a great bike. With a 2010 TXC250 in the stable you would think the 125 would collect dust, not the case, it gets out just as much as the TXC. It's that good.
