• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

GS-911 service tool

bikehunter

Husqvarna
AA Class
My bike is running very well now and not interested in any more tuning but would like to know if the GS-911 service tool can be used on the bike during servicing?
I require to reset the service indicator, read and fault codes and reset them, reset any thing like TPS etc.
Does anyone know if this tool is compatible with the Terra/Strada?
Read on here somewhere that someone tried but did not get much info, but not sure if that was service or tuning related.

It is not compatible at this time. I just sent off an email to Stephan at Hexcode to check on the progress. I should hear back from him soon.

I'd be keen also, it would be very handy to read voltages of sensors, reset codes/tps etc.

I'll sit back & wait for the response

According to this post from a few weeks ago, the 911 can access the Terra ECU (with some outstanding issues).

Very interesting indeed. I will most likely hear from Stephan tomorrow and will ask him about it. The last time I communicated with him, they were still waiting on the ECU from that seller in Europe. That was awhile ago, and they may have been gone for the weekend by the time I sent that last email.

I received the email this morning. Note the Status

| hi Dave,
|
| we now received the parts of the TR650 that I ordered (received them last week only - first needed to apply for a license to import used parts!).
|
| Our plan was to implement this in Q2 of 2014, but we're getting more and more pressed with little issues on the new wetheads... and that's keeping us busy and eating into our other dev time..
|
| I can't give you a fixed ETA, unfortunately

| best

These guys at Hexcode are great people.

The latest beta for the 911 will access some functions. You have to use the BMW c600 ( or c600 sport) I think when it askes for the bike type at the moment. Will clear some codes like the ews one i had, and fixed, because of the broken ring pickup for the key. you know you have the right one when it will read the VIN

Magoo said they had one ready for the GS650's but one for our bikes isn't available yet. He said (paraphrased) "It shouldn't be long for ours".

I am still waiting for Stephan to reply, this is the first time it has taken this long. Fired off another email, he must be on vacation or something.

Just heard back from hexcode
