• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Group Buy, SIGUtech Clutch Slave Cylinder

Huskyfly

Husqvarna
AA Class
Hey Guys/Gals, I'm trying to gauge if there's any interest in doing a group buy for these BEAUTIFUL and MASSIVELY IMPROVED TWO piston Clutch Slave Cylinders.

I personally have had to replace mine twice for one reason or another from loosing pressure. I started looking around for a better unit and with the help of Tom at Moore and Son's KTM here in the states, found these as the best highly recommended replacement parts. Tom has had a very good repor with these parts on KTM's, installing them over the years with people whom have had the same issues as I with loosing pressure. Every unit he's put on a bike never had another failure and one major reason is due to SIGUTECH's TWO O-ring aluminum piston!! Our Husky's have a single o-ring that due to heat and use can fail much more often, like I said, for some reason I've had to replace mine twice!

SO here's where you come in. SIGUTECH can make a direct replacement for the TE 630 but requires at least an order of 20-25 pieces. The price is 135 EUROS; about $168, which is about double the price of the factory part, not cheap but much higher quality part and a lot more piece of mind. If shipped as one order 22 EUROS, so about $2-4 dollars a person if we get at least 20 orders. NOW, he did say if we can put a larger order together the price will be LOWER :applause:. I may try to get some KTM folks on this too to get more parts sold but I would like only Husky folks FIRST.

Web address below, pictures attached to this post...... Colors are BLACK, ALUMINUM, ORANGE or BLUE!! You can choose your color, our group order doesn't have to be the same color!!

I AM NOT COLLECTING ANY MONEY JUST COLLECTING INTEREST TO PASS ALONG TO SIGUTECH TO SEE IF THIS IS VIABLE.

If your interested please post below and I'll add you to the list or PM me if you have questions.

One more note: THESE PARTS ARE MADE IN GERMANY so for overseas guys, I'll have to work with Sigutech and see what we can do. For now, we are just gauging interest. (Thank you Mike54 for asking a good question)

Thank you for your time!

Hey Web, thanks you!! I still love your stand!

HOW ALL THIS GOT STARTED;

After I met you and CJ in DV, I took the 630 out to get lunch and lost ALL CLUTCH pressure while on the express way........pucker factor 10!! I almost rear ended a a car......I wasn't happy to say the least. It was my second replacement and from there I decided to find something better. I came across a few threads on ADVrider of KTM guys having this same issue thus I found SIGUTECH. This guy puts a lot of pride into his work and I've personally held one of his parts and it's nice, very light weight stuff. The piston is very nice. It's hard to convey but these are probably race quality parts so the durability is way high. Like I mentioned before, my mechanic's replaced a few of these on KTM's, never having the same issue again.

I'm a believer in preventive replacement! Fuel pump ordered for my WRR, temp sensor ordered for the 630, and clutch parts on hand for rivet, spring cups and sleeve replacement before long.

Glad the stand is working for you. It's nice to be able to get on and off without the bike falling over, isn't it! Hope to see you in DV again next year. Will you bring the group again?

Great stand, FOR SURE the best single mod on the 630!!

Yup, hope to bring everyone back......although Jimmy may come on a smaller bike or not do the harder stuff.

Thread drift....I plan on doing just about everything next year. This past trip was a lot of sightseeing for starters. 'Missed a lot of sights too.

Master Clutch Slave Cylinders
I am interested in the clutch master cylinder, are you dealing with the slave cylinder or the master ? or both?
found the translated web site, I would buy the slave but my master is leaking!

Clutch Slave, the part and internal piston inside the clutch slave housing on the left side of the engine.......not the part on the handlebars. Sorry for the confusion.

Sounds like a serious pucker moment for sure. How did that work out? Did you just bang away at gears until you found neutral? Pretty scary. I've not had issues in the 4K I've run the 630, but your story has me thinking I may want to get in on this....wish I knew how common of an issue it is. Yes, I agree that safety is not something to gamble with but having to be practical as a.) I've been hemorrhaging money in other regards as of late and b.) it seems w/ these bikes the list of potential issues is very lengthy...so not really in a position to have spare parts for all of the eventualities right now.

FWIW, my 630 is approaching 12,000 miles. No slave cylinder issues.

I can't figure out why I've had issues because I too kept hearing hydraulic clutches are usually worry free. :excuseme: I certainly wouldn't be doing this undertaking if I just wanted a new Clutch Slave.

The decision to purse an aftermarket part really started when I did a search on ADVrider and found a good number of KTM guys having issues with failing seals and pistons.......Being stuck in no mans land etc. They all experienced the same issue, slow loss of pressure then next thing you know half the clutch pull has no pressure, indicating you're loosing fluid somewhere?!

I would say if your happy with your setup then great, no need to spend the money. However, if you're not sure, want a truly superior replacement to the OEM setup or you just want more eye candy for the bike then sign up.......we're just trying gauge interest at this point.

P.S. My bike has a little over 4600miles. This clutch issue and the rear subframe are the only hot spots I've had with my 630. The rear subframe is my own fault so not even an issue with the bike. I've changed the oil, replaced the tires, checked the valves and just ride.

I always thought a hydro clutch was worry free as well, until I got one. My master cylinder has been replaced once and rebuilt again. Never had any problems with cables.

Not to beat a dead horse but anyone else.......

If I can get 10 people I'll call Sigutech and see if that's enough?!

Thanks to those whom have chimed in so far.

After losing my clutch slave on my bmw in themiddle of nowhere I think this a good way to spend some smart dollars. Hope we can get enough folks together!
