I did a lot of quick research before purchasing my 2014 Husky TE511 a few weeks ago. Café Husky was an important part of my decision to purchase. It was nice to have a sense of what I was getting into (reality) before buying. I want to thank all of the participants and organizers of this awesome site.
The new bike flamed out and stalled on my initial road drive home, but I kept my cool. If I had not read the threads at the site prior, I would not have been cool with it. I spoke with the dealer who encouraged me to bring it in soon, which I will. I took the new bike out to the mountains yesterday with some buddies. I was fully expecting the bike to stall or flame out a lot. Surprisingly it only stalled a few times on the road and not at all on the dirt (it seems to prefer the dirt
) which works for me. So it appears to have gotten better with some more miles logged (consistent with what Café Husky and the dealer said).
I will be fixing up a few things initially such as the stock license plate bracket and turn signals, as well as looking into extending my gas range and perhaps a small pack for the bike. All of which I have also found on this site.
I am looking forward to many more SEG miles on the bike, and hope that I can return the favor of sharing my future learnings with others at this site.
Happy 2014!
