• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

no way------thats when you bought it from some FMX wannabe....I just know you have the CR125 all cheeky is a new plastic wrap!! I can't imagine Motosportz on clapped out roach.

The multi color seat sux , especially the white.
A magic eraser would clean most anything out of the seat as well as the plastics.

I'm curious to see what Walt's plan is for the 125 that Ajax keeps mentioning

As far as graphics, I just think it's odd the enduro and MX lines have such different looks

I like the ideas of projects and custom builds...
.but truthfully with this offroad line up, KTM has OEM minis-125 150 (144) and even a 200, 250, 300. personally I see no reason to get even further into the tween sizes with KTM 2T motors. I do see doing mods and swap outs of parts for different character, for personal set up. But thats my opinion.

Buying from Walt would be like ditching KTM stuff because it's overpriced and heading over to cylinder works. Not to mention he has already built and great reputation for making the cr/WR's cool :). Zip-Ty aren't the only suspension guys but I'd recommend them over anyone because of their contribution here, same with other sponsors. Anyway, he'll make it something different then all the orange bikes which KTM is failing to do which gives whatever he's got going some extra cool points :)

Time will tell. But look at some of the facts. Who over 30,40,or 50 class who races any AMA event would purchase a 125 as they would have to race it against the 250 class. Plus at a AMA National it would be in the open class. I use to and might do it again.
The Husky TE 250 and 300 are great and aleady have a proven but short Husky record. The CR 125 compaired to the WR 250/300 were so different but the new Husky 250/300 are modern and have so much going for then. Why would you not want one.
Most kids go from 85cc bikes to 250F and at most races the regular 125 class has the least amount of racers. Then add in the 125 class is up to 200cc
Now as a great woods bike ridden by someone who only races once in awhile for fun the TE 125 might be the bike. But how many of those guys are out there.
I bet the TE 250 and 300 will out sell the 125.
But there are a few of us who love a challenge and the I can make it better attitude. So I have been talking to Walt about the motor, Zip Ty about the suspension. I have a well dialed in CR 125 and a CR 300 so now might be the time to see if the TE 125 can run with the big boys. Half the fun of racing is working on making your bike better. Both my CRs are as good as they can be, now it is time to look for something new. I will only ride a HUSKY thank you Rob Keith for turning me on to them in 2006. So I keep doing my homework and counting the days until I can ride a new TE 125 maybe a crossbreed TE/TC 125. Then hopefully after that one will follow me home. I have to get a new bike soon, so it is between another 125 or another 300

Unfortunately KTM hasn't fully extended the Husky line-up yet. I agree with Robert that they have a model for everyone in the 2T line. If John decides on upgrading a new TC/TE 125 it will be using the KTM parts tree as almost anything that can be done already has been and successfully. Great looking bike that would look good in John's garage.
