Still, why Leon, MX????
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!

I've read several times that Guiseppe luongo charges around $300,000 to host an MXGP race! The GP series travels to several shitty places because local governments subsidize the payment of the race hoping to bring in big tourist dollars. They have races in Qatar, Thailand, Mexico and 2 in Brazil. I'll bet that the combined spectator turnout from those 5 races is less than one of their regular stops in say Italy or France.
I was being kind of rhetorical. Luongo is obsessed w/non-markets, 2nd/3rd world $$$ handouts and treating the racers like property. Nobody at Qatar for a night race (except the TCN's working the track), nobody at Thailand (except for maybe a few tourists) and so on. The only real markets they go to are in Europe. Oh, and SoCal back in 2011 @ Glen Helen.
I concur 100% regarding the MX2 races. Wide open and the guys really go for it. I love how they just air it out, grip it and rip it - so much fun to watch.
I was semi-shocked to see Herlings come back so soon but thouoght he might. If not for Herlings Tixier would be the man at Red Bull. Unfirtunately he's the domestique for the team.
Check out xrays of Herling's leg the DAY BEFORE he raced. Healed? Not even close.
