• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

GPR Stabilizer

Megatiker75, Egli sta cercando di ottenere GPR (creatore di stabilizzatori di sterzo) per fabbricare un ammortizzatore di sterzo e post per la TR650.

Just give them a call. They said they put it up on their facebook page and web site today. They told me they sold four this morning. I just got back from picking it up. Long trip. I went on a quick ride. All I can say is WOW what a difference. I will take it out on the highway tomorrow. I have never had a bike with a stabilizer.

They made a whole new handle bar mount that is about 3/4" higher. It uses the stock upper bar clamps so it looks stock. It is a work of art. So, if you have 1-1/8th bars you need to tell them so the can make the change.

Thank you Randy for doing such a fantastic job.

I called GPR today. The unit is $495 plus $13 shipping in the U.S. (USD). They use a 1/2" machined plate to mount the stabilizer over and around the steering shaft nut. The tower mounts around the frame and is a bolt on and i was told that it does not interfere with the oil tank breather or oil filler cap. Freakin awesome! It isn't on the website yet but you can call them and order via the phone.

Are they doing a fat bar version?
Bump

Nice set up Baddrapp! :applause: A simple design at a reasonable price. They are going to sell a ton of these things. I am still set on making my own set up to save a couple hundred bucks and it's just what I do, but if I get lazy or run out of time, I know where to go.

Impeccable timing Baddrapp...I was about to start a thread asking if anyone had found a steering stabilizer for the bike...what are your riding impressions????
