• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Gorman - Park & Forest: Nov 3-4 2012

AA Class
This is an open invite kinda thing. Meet and Greet. Campers and Day Trippers. Park and Forest Riders all welcome.

Events like this we tend to break up into groups depending on skill and trail preference. And we always keep individual ride groups small enough to be fun. Typically 6.

Wanna meet some new riding buddies come on out. Check the RSVP list on the RIDERS site for more details. Don't need a login to RSVP. So let us know if you are coming :ride:

Hey Yucca... We know the D37 calendar. In fact, sometimes we hold events near by so folks can check out a race during the weekend. There is always a race or poker run or riding event EVERYWHERE there is riding. It really makes no difference. It will have no affect on us. Last RIDERS ride people posted in our threads about a D37 race 10 times or more. WE NEVER SAW A SOUL all weekend !

Funny thing is I never post our events as warnings in the D37 threads. Can you image the crap I would get... "Hey guys... just so you know... RIDERS will be out there that weekend. Look out for their riders !"

Trust me I have nothing against D37. It's a great thing. But after a while it starts to feel like their members wanna promote their races in everyone elses threads... any chance they get.

Don't worry about the D37 race unless you plan to ride in it... or go watch it. Most of our group won't likely ever know they were even there.

Check
Maybe I run unclassified, spin around the track a few times and then hookup with your group! TE owners with Warranties cannot use the word RACE so I did not sign up for D37 this year!

Travis from TBT will be there for the GP and I might have him do my suspension while we are there... on my latest pumpkin. I haven't admitted it yet to you guys but the 310 I was supposed to buy came home ORANGE... again.

Is Coffey gonna kick me off the site now ?

November 3 & 4, Prospectors MC, Grand Prix, Gorman (Advertisement)

Haha, I will be there cruising around and can come by and say hello, but I have to work the races both days, possibly Friday and Monday too. The race is in a different area than the park, so I am told anyway, but watch out for crazy racers anyway. There may be sponsors out there too which usually equates to great deals.

Most MC race courses are tiny... and rarely ever get in the way of anything anywhere. If Flying J up the highway closes their rv dump that would be note worthy. MC race in the area... not so much.

You guys are really in for a treat at Gorman... we filmed this at the last RIDERS event... PSY ROCKED THE ROOF OFF JOHNSON VALLEY !

Tommy got there Thursday and parked at LOWER SCRUB OAKS. Look for his White full size RV and a KTM.

Feel Free to go for an AM RIDE without me. I'll be there and ready to ride Saturday at 10AM.

I will keep checking for anyone that goes to Upper Scrub Oaks as originally planned... but for now GO TO LOWER SCRUB OAKS and look for Tommy's White Full Size RV.

See you guys soon !

I rode friday, weather was awesome, light breeze in the pm, beautiful. Hopefull when racing is done I can cruise by.
