• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

good bye 630.

well it was a good run but i am forced to say good bye to my sm630 and likely this forum.

couple days ago my bike got stolen. i park it in my carport with a chain lock. since this bike is rare be weary of anyone selling parts.

im sure i am probably not going to own another husky due to $$$.

S**t that sucks! Where did it happen? You might want to post your VIN code as I'm sure a lot of 630 potential buyers go through this site...

Sorry to hear that. My brothers exc 530 was just stolen for the 2nd time. The insurance company should help you...

im in california. only had it about 8 months. i do have insurance. im sure the payout will not be so great

What ever Kelly Blue Book says..."retail value" would be a good indicator as to what you'll get...with the programs BMW is running now...130% of msrp and up to 900.00 in cash...you could be back with a bike in no time...

Da*n man...I'm really sorry to hear it. One more vote here to string the bastidges up and let us all have at 'em like a pinata. I really hate to hear of this kind of thing as I'm another who has to park outside. :( Best of luck to you fella...hope you get a decent settlement and are able to get a new bike relatively quickly.

A stolen bike is the worst thing. Your insurance will pay replacement cost, so don't worry, you can get another one if you want. I can tell you're really bummed out though.

When I was 16 I bought a brand new Penton 125 Six Days, installed a headlight, brakelight, and plated it. Circa 1973. The word 'dualsport' had not even been invented yet. My parents lent me the money, I had a down payment from selling an old DT250 Yamaha. I rode it to school and after a month or so it got stolen. No lock, no ignition lock, they just got on it and started it. I found out afterwards a few kids would ride it around the parking lot, and since that was so easy they decided to just steal it. First thing my mother says was "Did you have insurance?" What an idiot. How would a 16 year old kid know to have insurance? She's still looney to this day, even worse in her old age. That was 40 years ago, I will never forget. I paid off about half the debt and they wrote off the rest as a loss.

Only if the policy was written as replacement cost. Most are ACV (actual cash value) and don't include gap insurance so a stolen vehicle that was financed can often leave the original owner in debt and without any vehicle.
