• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Going Racing this weekend

Well, its rainy down here all weekend, and its sunny in Kamloops BC, so Im going to enter a hare scramble. I havent raced one in 10 years....so it should be funny. Lets see how the lil WR125 does!

The terrain is a lot more open than im used to, and it uses part of a MX track.

The big race is on sunday!

It's funny that you use the term "down here" to somebody from Southern California.:D Have fun!

LOL I guess so...but I have to go north to get there...so technically I am down here.

But to me you are down there. Im up here, or down here, basically the world revolves around Vancouver.

:D

Hey I wish I was sticking around for the race but we're heading to the in-laws for Easter with the kids.
Try and take some pics if you can OK.
Oh ya and Good Luck.

Well....that was a wake up call.

I ended up 16th out of 26 in vet amateur. I could barely hang on for the first 4 laps, my throttle hand was cramping, and a bit of arm pump. My last few laps were my fastest....but I have a ways to go to get back in shape.

Until the next one!

Still sounds like you had a great day. Did you see many Huskys?
How many racers do you think there was?
It was nice meeting you to bad we couldn't ride today. Thx again for the manual.
Summers around the corner.

There was approximately 300 riders I heard, there was about 4 other huskys. One new TXC 250, a couple te450's and a wr250.

It was still fun!
