• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

1st lap is in, Delong in 3rd 24 sec behind Baylor, and not sure why but J Thomas not on the scoreboard????? Interesting, that will allow Andrew to jump into second with a good finish...

OK this is weird, now Thomas shows up on the 4th lap in the lead with Delong & Davis still on the second lap & Baylor still on his 3rd.

Well I guess they had some scoring issues, an instagram pic of the podium shows Delong & Davis, but the results page shows another three riders. Oh well................

Was an awesome race weekend! Too bad about the 2 hour delay for the morning class, which caused the afternoon delay. Just too many people turned out, and not enough staff to handle the lineups. We waited for 2 hours in line on Saturday to sign in. The swamp was the disaster in this race. Alot of riders got buried, including Jason Thomas who had to get winched out and numerous others.

I wanted to give a special mention on how much of a class act Nick Davis is! We met him Friday night while having a party, next to his parents RV. He would make a point to speak with us anytime we saw him through the weekend, and would give our kids encouragement prior/after their races in PeeWee and the Mini's. He made sure to tell the kids how great it was for them to make it out to the races, and recognize the work their parents do to get them out there. A real ambassador to the sport. It was great to see him take a place on the podium by the end of the day! Congrats Nick!!!
