  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

getting rid of TE310

Both very good bikes, both have similar EFI pump issues too.

replace the pump with the $100 one and keep riding.
I guess I need one?
I had the DRZ400s and the the WR250r and I can't think of one good reason to choose the WR250r. If I tried to keep up with traffic on the WR I had to shift like crazy. The DRZ was well moded when I got it including Yoshi and all TT covers and it was way easier to ride and better suspended then the WR. I never had a single problem 2005 8k miles. I did not like the front light and fender yuk! The Wr looks better but the more you make them dirt the wose they get. Try a skid plate and you hear the nasty noise of the motor and no ear plug could cure it. I traded my DRZ for an 08 TE250 and love it in the dirt! On the street it is the only place I miss the DRZ. It is an 80/20 dirt street and the DRZ is like 70/30 and the WR is 50/50. The EFI hits like a champ! I had a 2004 450exc and this has more power but the TE has more of a 2 stroke like snap.

I had an 09 310, fuel issues for sure, but never left me out on the trail. I would fix it and ride if you like the rest of the bike. The grass isn't always greener (oranger) on the other side.

Ok since we've got you on the line, how does this measure up.

Aprilia pump that LOOKS the same. Right size?

I've got the Cycleworks item bookmarked as well as all these others. Maybe dump the bookmarks if they are no good.

Yes, I had a guy who had one of these on his bench and he measured the distance between the flange bolt holes and the measurements were the same as mine, so this is a direct replacement, probably manufactured by the same jobber for both Aprilia and Husky.

Additionally, the oil filter that the '06-'10 Aprilia RXV, SXV 4.5 / 5.5 use is the same as the 08-10 Huskies.
